Britannia Engineering was established in 2003 by a time served machine and fitting engineer to provide a machining and repair service, mainly specialising in the refurbishment of print roller bearing journals. This service quickly expanded to include the manufacture of spare parts and stocks for a wide range of printing machines. Our customer base grew rapidly to include such industries as labelling and packaging OEM companies, electronics manufacturers, automatic doors manufacturers, non ferrous metals suppliers and many other smaller businesses including a motorcycle-to-trike conversion company and a motorhome conversion company.
Although a mainly manual machine shop consisting of large and small centre lathes, vertical and universal milling machines, we can also now offer CNC turning. Our CNC lathe has given us the opportunity to be even more competitive with our pricing and delivery schedules. Other machining capabilities include internal keyway cutting, gear cutting, screw cutting, drilling and sawing. We also have a welding department with both MiG and arc welding.
